Privacy Policy
Effective date: 27 August 2026. Last updated: 27 August 2026.
This Privacy Policy describes how FullGrid Media, LLC ("FullGrid," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and retains information in connection with FullGrid Motorsports (the "App," listed on the App Store and Google Play under that name and shown on your device as FullGrid), the fullgridmotorsports.com website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). FullGrid Media, LLC is the data controller for the processing described in this Policy.
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Service.
Summary
The Service is fully functional without an account. When you are signed out, your followed series, favorites, and preferences are stored only on your device. An optional account adds synchronization of your setup across devices and background correction of your race alerts when session times change.
We collect limited, pseudonymous usage data to understand how the Service is used, and diagnostic information when the Service malfunctions. We do not collect the content of anything you type, including search terms. We do not sell personal information, we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not use advertising profiles, and the Service contains no advertising.
1. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following information is stored on your device regardless of whether you hold an account:
- Followed series and events, and favorite series and tracks;
- Notification preferences, including per-session alert selections and lead times;
- Country or region preference (set manually or determined as described in Section 5);
- Cached schedule, standings, weather, and broadcast data, enabling offline use.
When you are signed out, this information is not transmitted to us. When you are signed in, certain of this information is synchronized to your account as described in Section 2. Uninstalling the application deletes all locally stored information.
2. Account Information
An account is optional. If you do not create one, this Section does not apply to you.
Authentication. You may register using a one-time email code, or through Google or Apple sign-in. The Service does not use passwords. Authentication is provided by Clerk Inc. ("Clerk"), which holds your email address and authentication records. Your email address is not stored in FullGrid's own databases.
Synchronized data. We store against a pseudonymous account identifier: your followed series, favorite series and tracks, and a limited set of application settings. We do not store your name, email address, profile photograph, or any content you type.
Deletion. You may delete your account, together with all synchronized data and push registrations, at any time from within the application or at www.fullgridmotorsports.com/delete-account. Deletion removes your records from our database; information stored locally on your devices is unaffected, and the Service continues to function signed out.
Session termination. You may sign out of all devices simultaneously from within the application. Doing so ends all active sessions and removes all push notification registrations associated with your account.
3. Push Notifications
Local alerts (all users). Race and session alerts are scheduled and delivered by your device's operating system. When you are signed out, no push token is created, no registration occurs, and no information about your notifications leaves your device.
Background alert correction (signed-in users only). If you are signed in, we additionally store, against your account: a push notification token issued by your device's operating system, and a pseudonymous identifier for that installation. These enable us to correct scheduled alerts when session times change while the application is closed.
The majority of these notifications are silent: they carry no visible content and serve only to prompt the application to refresh schedule data and re-schedule local alerts. You may occasionally receive a visible notification, limited to: (a) corrections concerning a session for which your alert has already fired; (b) notice that a session in a series you follow has been delayed, postponed, or cancelled, including for weather or other unforeseen events; and (c) infrequent service announcements concerning the application itself.
Push tokens are not disclosed to third parties except as necessary for delivery. Delivery is relayed by Expo (Expo, Inc.) and by Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging, which do not retain records of your device on our behalf. Push registrations are removed upon sign-out on a device, sign-out everywhere, account deletion, or uninstallation of the application.
Notifications may be disabled at any time within the application or through your device's system settings.
4. Calendar Access
If you use the "Add to Calendar" feature, the application requests access to your device calendar solely to add the sessions you select and to check for existing entries to prevent duplicates. Access is requested only upon use of the feature. Calendar data is not collected, stored, or transmitted off your device.
5. Region Detection
To display broadcast availability relevant to your country, the application requires a country-level location. You may set this manually in Settings. In automatic mode (the default), the application queries Cloudflare's trace endpoint, which returns a two-letter country code derived from your network connection. Your IP address is visible to Cloudflare in the course of this request, as with any internet request; we do not receive or store your IP address, and only the resulting country code is retained, cached on your device.
Region detection operates at country level only. The Service does not access GPS or precise location. Selecting manual mode disables the lookup entirely.
6. Schedule Data Delivery
Schedule, standings, weather, and broadcast information is retrieved from our hosted data files. Standard technical information, including your IP address, is visible to our hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.) in the course of these requests, as with ordinary internet traffic. We do not use this information to identify or track users, and no personal information accompanies these requests.
7. Usage Data
We collect pseudonymous usage data to understand which parts of the Service are used. Collection is on by default, and the ability to decline is offered where required by applicable law.
Scope of collection. Usage data is limited to a fixed set of events:
- screens viewed;
- series followed and unfollowed;
- the occurrence of a search (never the search terms);
- application open and close, from which visit duration is derived.
We do not collect the content of anything you type. Events carry a pseudonymous identifier and, once you are signed in, your pseudonymous account identifier. They do not carry your name, email address, or other directly identifying information. IP addresses associated with usage data are discarded by our analytics processor prior to storage. Usage data is not sold and is not shared with data brokers.
Consent jurisdictions. If you are located in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, or if your location cannot be determined, no usage data is collected or stored until you have been asked and have consented. Your answer may be changed at any time in Settings.
Effect of refusal. A refusal recorded on any device or on our website applies to you everywhere and indefinitely. Where a refusal is recorded, the control to reverse it remains visible in Settings regardless of your location, so that a recorded choice can always be reviewed and changed.
Other jurisdictions. Outside the jurisdictions above, the in-application control is not displayed. Collection may nonetheless be disabled for you upon request to support@fullgridmedia.com.
8. Diagnostics
When the application encounters an error, we collect the error type, message, and stack trace (a list of our own file and function names indicating where the failure occurred), associated with the same pseudonymous identifier as usage data.
Because error messages may incidentally quote data present at the point of failure, every message is redacted on your device before transmission: URL paths and query strings, email addresses, quoted or bracketed text, and extended digit sequences are removed, and the message is truncated. No typed content is transmitted with an error report.
Independently, Apple and Google collect crash reports for applications on their platforms, including application and operating system versions, subject to your device's diagnostic sharing settings. Such reports reach us only in anonymized form and are not linked to your identity.
9. Information We Do Not Collect
The Service does not:
- require an account for any core functionality;
- store your name, email address, or telephone number in our own databases;
- collect the content of anything you type, including search terms;
- collect payment or financial information;
- access GPS or precise location;
- serve advertising, or disclose information to advertisers or data brokers;
- sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising;
- track you across third-party applications or websites.
10. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and United Kingdom)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of a contract (provision of accounts, synchronization, and alert correction you request); consent (usage data and diagnostics in consent jurisdictions, calendar access, notification permission); and legitimate interests (service delivery, security, and abuse prevention, balanced against your rights and freedoms). Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.
11. Service Providers
We engage a limited number of processors, each for a defined function:
- Clerk, Inc. Authentication; holds account email addresses.
- PostHog, Inc. Receipt and storage of usage events and diagnostic reports.
- Expo, Inc., Apple Inc., and Google LLC. Push notification relay and delivery.
- Cloudflare, Inc. Hosting of the website, data files, and application services; country-level region lookup.
Each provider processes information solely to provide its function and in accordance with its own published privacy documentation. The Service may also link to third-party websites, including broadcasters and series websites, whose privacy practices we do not control.
12. International Data Transfers
We are located in the United States, and information described in this Policy is processed in the United States. Where information is transferred from the EEA or United Kingdom, such transfers rely on our processors' compliance mechanisms, including standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
13. Data Retention
Locally stored information persists until you delete it or uninstall the application. Account data and push registrations are retained until account deletion, upon which they are removed from our databases. Usage and diagnostic data is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the analytical and remedial purposes described in this Policy.
14. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information processed, including transport encryption, scoped credentials, and separation of authentication data from application data. No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. Your Rights and Choices
All users. You may: use the Service without an account; disable notifications in the application or system settings; select manual region mode to disable the country lookup; disable usage data collection where the control is shown, or by request to support@fullgridmedia.com; and remove all local data by uninstalling the application.
EEA and United Kingdom. Subject to applicable law, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Requests may be directed to support@fullgridmedia.com.
United States state privacy laws. Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy statutes have rights to know, delete, correct, and to non-discrimination for exercising such rights. We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months; accordingly, no opt-out of sale or sharing is required. Verifiable requests may be submitted to support@fullgridmedia.com.
Account deletion is available directly within the application and at www.fullgridmotorsports.com/delete-account without the need to contact us.
16. Children's Privacy
The Service is a general-audience application not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, contact support@fullgridmedia.com and we will delete it.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will be posted at fullgridmotorsports.com/privacy. Material changes will be identified by an updated effective date and, where appropriate, notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
